Serviceplan, GfK and Media Marketing launch the third edition of the Best Brands Awards

On Wednesday the 13th of March 2019 Brussels is hosting one of the biggest events of the marketing and communication sector: the Best Brands Awards. More than 250 reputable guests from the world of business, communication and media will gather at this exceptional gala that crowns Belgium’s best brands. The 4thedition of this prestigious gathering, organized by Serviceplan, GfK and Media Marketing, will take place under the roof of the modern Docks Dome.

In 2004 Serviceplan introduced the Best Brands Awards in Munich. By now the event is the benchmark for brand performance. Based on a study by GfK of 3500 households, this ranking measures the market force of brands based on two criteria: The actual economic impact of a brand and its emotional dimension considered by the client. A unique concept that relies purely on the consumer in the selection of its winners.

Fifteen years later this yearly gathering is considered the Oscars of advertising. Its widespread recognition has pushed countries like China (2014), Italy (2015), France (2018) and since 2017 Belgium to adopt the concept. 2018’s winners were Amazon.com (Best Digital Brand), Gillette (Best Growth Brand), Ikea (Best Product Brand) and Colruyt Group (Best Corporate Brand).


The 2019 edition will be different in that there will be a change in the rewarded categories. The Best Brands Awards will focus on a single award: Best Product Brand. 350 brands from 20 different sectors will be analyzed and a winner will be appointed for each sector.


The evening entertainment will be provided by the duo Lolly Wish and George Bangable. Lolly Wish is the Diva Boudoir and official vocalist for the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris. The evening promises to be emotional on many levels.
